Duty and import VAT included

Duty and VAT already inside the price.

Two lanes out of China, both DDP. We clear EU customs in our own name through our own broker and deliver to your door — so you need no EORI number, and no VAT registration, to take delivery.

Written quote within one business day. No rate card, no surcharge that appears after delivery.

Two lanes

Same terms, different clock.

Both lanes are DDP with duty and import VAT paid. What changes is how long the cargo takes and what it costs per kilo — so the choice is about your stock position, not the paperwork.

3–5 daysdoor to door

Air freight

A direct Shanghai–Amsterdam service. Cleared at Amsterdam on arrival and delivered onward, so the clock covers customs and the final leg — no hub connection inflating the transit.

  • Charged on chargeable weight — the greater of actual and volumetric
  • Suits roughly 30–300 kg of high-value or fast-moving stock
  • Daily cut-offs; we confirm the flight and the ETA in writing

~16 daysdoor to door

Road truck

Loaded at our China warehouse, out through Khorgos, then west into Europe and onto an EU-registered carrier at the border. Five departures a week, so you are not waiting for a trailer to fill.

  • Costs a fraction of air while still landing inside three weeks
  • Suits palletised replenishment and mid-volume restocking
  • Weekly departures, with the border transfer named on the quote

Last mile

Three ways to the door.

Most quotes stop at "delivered". The last kilometre is where a shipment actually arrives or does not, so we name the option instead of promising a result.

Courier — UPS or FedEx

Parcels and cartons, tracked door to door, normally next day from our European clearance point. The default for e-commerce replenishment and spare parts.

  • Inside courier size and weight limits
  • Tracking your customer can follow
  • Lowest cost per parcel

Oversized

For the pieces a courier will not take: single items beyond parcel limits, long goods, machinery, furniture. Quoted per case, with the handling method named — tail-lift, two-person, or by appointment.

  • Single items that will not go on a parcel belt
  • Handling method stated on the quote
  • Delivered to the door, not left at the kerb

Truck — full or part load

Pallets and full loads, delivered on a booked day to a named address or a warehouse dock. This is the natural end of the road-trailer lane.

  • From a few pallets to a full trailer
  • Booked window, not a rolling ETA
  • Dock or tail-lift, your choice
Why this deserves its own section

A quote that says only "delivered to door" hides the thing that decides whether delivery is even possible: a parcel network will not take a three-metre item, a courier will not reverse onto a building site, and a residential street cannot take a full trailer. Naming the three options is how you find that out on the quote rather than at the gate.

The price

What a DDP quote covers — and what it does not.

The most common complaint about DDP quotes is that the invoice does not match them. So we print both lists on every quote.

Included

  • China export declaration
  • Pickup from your supplier and consolidation
  • Freight — air or road, as quoted
  • EU import declaration filed in our name
  • Import duty
  • Import VAT, at the destination member state rate
  • Delivery to your address and a signed POD

Not included

  • Storage beyond the free days at origin or destination
  • Customs inspection or examination fees, if selected
  • Remote-area, timed or appointment delivery surcharges
  • Product compliance: CE, WEEE, packaging registration
  • Cargo insurance, unless you ask for it
  • Duty changes caused by a different HS code at entry
Duty is computed from the HS code you supply. If the code changes at entry, we tell you before the shipment moves — we do not absorb it quietly, and we do not bill you afterwards.

Importer of record

You do not need an EORI number.

An EORI number is the trader identifier the EU requires from anyone filing an import declaration. Because the declaration is filed in our name, you do not need one — and you do not need to register for VAT in any member state simply to receive goods.

One exception, worth knowing before you compare quotes

If your company already holds an EU VAT number and wants to reclaim the import VAT, the entry has to be made in your name — not ours. That is a different setup, and it is quoted VAT-exclusive rather than VAT-inclusive.

How clearance works →

What you do need to give us

  • A product description specific enough to classify
  • Gross weight and carton dimensions
  • Destination postcode, or the Amazon facility code
  • Whether the goods carry batteries, liquids or magnets
  • Your deadline, so we can tell you if air is the honest answer

How it runs

Five steps, and one of them is yours.

01Send five detailsProduct, gross weight, carton dimensions, destination postcode, and how soon you need it.
02Get a written quoteWithin one business day. Freight, duty and VAT shown as separate lines, so you see what is tax and what is carriage.
03Booked and loadedWe collect from your supplier, consolidate at our China warehouse, photograph the cargo and load it.
04Cleared at the EU borderWe file the import declaration as importer of record. The entry documents travel with your delivery.
05Delivered, with proofSigned POD plus the customs paperwork for your records. No invoice surprises after delivery.

Questions

The five things buyers ask first.

Is the price really all-in?

Freight, the China export declaration, EU import clearance, duty, import VAT and delivery to your address are inside it. Outside it: storage beyond the free days, customs inspection fees if a consignment is selected, remote-area or timed-delivery surcharges, and product compliance work. Every quote lists both sides, so nothing appears for the first time on the invoice.

How is the duty figure worked out?

From the HS code you give us and the declared value of the goods. Duty rates differ by product and by member state treatment, so we show duty as its own line rather than folding it into a kilo rate. If the classification changes at entry, we tell you before the shipment moves.

We already have an EU VAT number. Does that change anything?

Yes, and it is worth raising before you compare quotes. If the declaration is in our name, the import VAT cannot be reclaimed by you. If your company is VAT-registered in the EU and wants to reclaim it, the entry has to be made in your name — we can run that way and quote the goods VAT-exclusive.

Can you deliver to Amazon FBA?

Yes, for goods that are eligible. You supply the destination code, the label files and the current instructions from Seller Central; we handle labelling, carton and pallet specification, freight, the delivery appointment and the POD. FBA sellers usually need the entry in their own name, because the inventory is theirs.

What can you not ship?

Batteries, liquids, aerosols and anything classed as dangerous goods need to be checked before we quote, because the answer depends on the exact product and packaging. Separately, product compliance — CE marking, WEEE, packaging registration such as the German LUCID register — is the seller's responsibility, not the forwarder's. We will tell you when a shipment needs it.

Five details is all we need to quote.

Send these, and you get a written quotation within one business day — with duty and VAT shown as separate lines rather than buried in a kilo rate.
